I'm Martin Krause and I lead UNDP’s environment, climate and energy team in Europe and Central Asia.

 

My main areas of expertise:

 

  1. 1.  Climate policy and finance
  2. 2.  Energy access and renewable energy
  3. 3.  Environmental planning
  4. 4.  Programme cycle management

 

My work
 

Together with my team, I work closely with UNDP country offices and government partners promoting policy change and market transformations in fields such as renewable energy, climate adaptation, carbon finance and natural resource management. (Find out more about our work)

I have over 17 years of experience as an expert and advisor on climate change, environment and energy as well as project planning and management. I have worked and lived in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe and UNDP headquarters in New York.

 

 

Some recent achievements
 

2012 Publication of policy guidance and lessons on energy access in Asia-Pacific (pdf)

 

2010-2012 Helped UNDP to strategically position environment portfolios in Bangladesh, China, IndiaLaos and Sri Lanka

 

2008-2012 Mobilized significant financial resources for countries in the Asia-Pacific region from global trust funds
