I'm Olivier Adam and I’m managing UNDP's Bratislava Regional Centre, which provides programmatic and operational support to UNDP country offices and partners throughout the region.
My main areas of expertise:

- 2. Policy analysis for sustainable development
- 3. Development programme cycle management
- 4. United Nations coordination
Together with my team, I advocate for regional development issues, and ensure that UNDP activities in countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia are aligned with UNDP’s global development priorities.
Some recent achievements
2010-2012 Restarted dialogue between civil society and Government of Ukraine on human rights issues
2004-2009 Led the partnership between UNDP and the Global Fund for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, during which time the number of grants grew from nine to 67, and funding from $50 million to $1 billion
I have over 25 years of experience working with the United Nations, including my most recent post as UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine.
I have also been a Programme Manager with UNDP’s global HIV team, Senior Political Affairs Officer in the UN Department for Political Affairs, Deputy Director of UNDP’s Palestinian Programme, Deputy Division Chief with the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Argentina, and UNDP Assistant Representative in Haiti.
