In 2016, Romania contributed 1 billion RON (approximately USD$230 million) to the sustainable development of its partner countries. UNDP continued being one of the closest partners of the Romanian government, working together to make sure that Romanian taxpayers’ money are spent for long-term sustainable gains for the lives of people and communities supported by RoAid, Romania's international development cooperation programme.
