UNDP has been a strategic partner of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for the last 10 years.

In order to deepen the understanding of the environmental impact caused by waste created through its Global Fund project implementations, country assessments were conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Zimbabwe.

Also as part of the work, a Healthcare Waste Management Toolkit Package for Global Fund Practitioners and Policy Makers (with various components) was developed.
