In support of the SDGs, UNDP is a partner of choice for both governments and IFIs to help implement projects in a variety of sectors, offering extensive expertise and knowledge together with administrative and operational acumen for effective project execution.  

Between 2004 and 2015, UNDP has helped Governments and IFIs execute projects with IFI financing (loans) worth over US$2 billion, helping overcome operational bottlenecks while developing capacity and supporting the implementation of national development priorities.
